This series deals with the idea of Martyrdom, specifically the noun version meaning a “victim; especially a great or constant sufferer”. This set originally was conceived as an outlet for my personal frustrations with people who have the tendency to be over-dramatic. The (what I perceive to be) dark humor that came out through these parody-esque photographs made me realize that I am constantly suffering in the company of the martyrs I bemoan. The irony is killing me.
